New Series with Training Industry Luminaries
Boulder, CO (USA), November 2009 - Xyleme, provider of 100% XML, SCORM 2004-certified learning content management solutions, has announced the release of the latest Xyleme Voices podcast with Harold Jarche, Charles Jennings, Clark Quinn, and Jay Cross of the Internet Time Alliance.
The topic of the podcast is "Challenges and Misconceptions of Collaborative and Social Learning in the Workplace". Dawn Poulos, Xyleme's VP of Marketing and host of Xyleme Voices, spoke with this distinguished group to tap key insights around social and collaborative learning.
Some of the main takeaways from the discussion included
- the evolution of the training department from developing content to developing networks,
- the role of the CLO in making collaborative learning part of an enterprise's core infrastructure and the difficulties they face in doing so, and
- the belief that CLOs can become major C-suite players.
"It was really exciting to be able to sit down with this team of training-industry luminaries, and I think the end result is truly rewarding experience for our listening audience", said Dawn Poulos. "Simply listen closely to how Harold, Clark, Charles, and Jay worked so respectfully with each other in order to provide a discussion on social learning whose value is much greater than the sum of the points made by the individual participants."
This podcast is now available on Xyleme Voices in five parts:
- Part I on managing collaboration.
- Part II on the changing role of CLOs and training departments.
- Part III on collaborative learning in a corporate setting.
- Part IV on the use of social media in corporations.
- Part V on how to integrate learning into the enterprise.
