Charities and not-for-profits around the globe are invited to attend a unique free webinar with Jim and Wendy Kirkpatrick at 3 - 5 pm (BST) on 31 August 2011, to learn about the latest adaptation of the Kirkpatrick Model, widely used for evaluating learning and development.
In this webinar, supported by The Charity Learning Consortium in the UK, the Kirkpatricks will
- explain the most modern ways to use the Kirkpatrick Model to plan, execute, and measure training that creates business value;
- give a rendering of the updated model that focuses on the importance of the transfer of learning to behaviour;
- offer tips for how to align training with your most important organizational goals;
- and present an overview of required drivers and leading indicators - and their importance in creating organization value through training.
Martin Baker, founder and MD of The Charity Learning Consortium says, "When I attended Jim Kirkpatrick's workshop at TrainingZone Live, London, I was bowled over by his new approach to evaluation and was keen to find a way to bring his theories to our members, so I'm delighted to be supporting this webinar."
Another opportunity to benefit from the Charity Learning Consortium's current offers is to join learning, creativity, and innovation specialist Nigel Paine at his workshop at the first Charity Learning Conference, in London on 15 September, where he'll be encouraging charities to think big!
Nigel, a strategic adviser on leadership and talent development and a popular keynote speaker and workshop leader, is passionate about creative and innovative L&D. He'll be encouraging members of the Charity Learning Consortium to think laterally within their "shoestring" L&D budgets.
Martin Baker comments that Nigel's workshop is bound to be entertaining. "Nigel's workshop is sure to be fun, as he has a keen sense of humour, which makes his workshops really memorable. He is superb at getting a group of people to work together to think about challenges in new ways, and we look forward to some interesting outcomes."
Nigel is a former Head of Learning and Development at the BBC, London, where he was in charge of all the learning and development needs for 26,000 staff worldwide. He's a strategic thinker and change-orientated leader with a worldwide reputation and a unique grasp of learning and development in the public, private, and academic sectors.
The Charity Learning Conference has been designed to both celebrate L&D in the Third Sector and inspire members of the Consortium in the valuable work that they do. The event is exclusively for the more than ninety charities that are members of the Consortium.
