Learning and Leading in New Zealand
Rotorua (NZ), September 2011 - ULearn is a professional learning conference that caters for educators from early years, primary, secondary, and tertiary education and will be held 19 - 21 October 2011 at the Rotorua Energy Events Centre in New Zealand.
ULearn is an inclusive and practical conference that effectively and directly applies to teaching and learning environments. It sends participants away armed with ideas and knowledge they can immediately apply in their teaching environment.
The ULearn11 programme is structured around four key themes focusing on aspects of learning and leading. The themes include collaboration, innovation, education, and research. Delegates are able to follow a theme through the Conference or explore different combinations of each theme. When making workshop selections, you can choose to use 'Key Theme Alignment' as a filter to view what is being offered in each breakout.
The Conference will provide teachers with a unique opportunity to
- discover common ground through discussion with other teachers;
- improve knowledge and expertise in new technologies in the many breakout sessions;
- get ideas and strategies for integrating technologies into the learning experience of students;
- hear about policy changes/direction from senior New Zealand Ministry of Education staff;
- be inspired by world-leading education and new technologies thinkers;
- try out the latest technological wares at the trade expo.
On 18 October, the day before the Conference, six pre-Conference workshops are offered from 10am-4.30pm, allowing participants to explore a topic or skill in depth.
