LINE Gains Recognition as Runner-up

London (UK), July 2012 - LINE Communications, a European provider of learning and communications solutions, has been awarded runner-up in two categories at the International eLearning Association (IELA) awards.

In a ceremony held at the International Conference on eLearning in the Workplace (ICELW) in New York in June, the first award was in the E-Learning, Business Division category for a programme entitled "Classification of Fractures" developed for the AO Foundation, a medically guided nonprofit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

LINE worked with AO and specialist surgeons to create a learning programme that combines the best in narrative, gaming, and realistic practice. Surgeons with all levels of experience have found that the style of learning helps them properly internalise the AO/Müller Fracture Classification System and gives them ample opportunity to drill and refresh this newly learnt ability.

The second award given was in the Mobile Learning, Business Division category for a Retail Sales Mobile Application developed for Jaguar Land Rover using the Apple iPad. The programme provides comprehensive and ongoing performance support that gives retail- sales consultants a flexible set of tools for use at the point of sale.

Steve Ash, LINE's Sales and Marketing Director says, "We are thrilled to have had our work with Jaguar Land Rover and the AO Foundation recognised at the IELA Awards. These are the second accolades we have received for these projects, with the AO Foundation having already won a Gold Award at the eLearning awards in London last November and Jaguar Land Rover having received a Silver Award from the IVCA awards in March this year."
