Are You Wasting Your Time with Compliance Training?

Plymouth (UK), November 2017 - The opportunities lost by organisations using outdated methods and technologies for compliance training are in the spotlight at an interactive webinar this month. The online session, hosted by digital-learning experts Sponge UK, will challenge attitudes about what works in compliance training and share success stories of organisations taking an innovative approach.

"Are you wasting your time with compliance training?" takes place 28 November 2017 from 12.00-12.30 (GMT) and will offer practical ideas for making compliance training more effective and efficient.

Spending on compliance in the UK is on the rise, with 73% of compliance practitioners expecting costs to increase over the next five years (Pinsent Masons).

Jason Plunkett, Senior Solutions Advisor at Sponge UK, will be leading the webinar panel. He commented, "Compliance has become increasingly complex for global companies, but some organisations have been slow to update the training they provide for their workforce."

"Doing the same thing on compliance with little measurable improvement is becoming a costly waste of time," said Jason. "During this webinar, I’ll be focusing on two main areas: how to make compliance training more effective by delivering lasting behavioural change and how to reduce lengthy training to make it more efficient."

The 30-minute webinar will

  • outline the stagnation in compliance training and learner attitudes
  • explore ways to make compliance training fit for purpose
  • reveal how clever use of technology and design can cut compliance-training costs
  • showcase compliance success stories from some of the world’s biggest brands

Joining the webinar panel is Sam Yates, Senior Learning Designer at Sponge UK.  Last year, Sam judged the compliance category at the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards. "It’s changes to behaviour and attitudes that make the real difference in terms of compliance," said Sam. "In my work, I’ve seen how combining a variety of approaches can transform compliance behaviours. I’ll be talking about ways to bring compliance training to life, to make it personal for the individual, and to embed the learning over time."

Webinar attendees are encouraged to share their own experience through a series of live polls and a "question-and-answer" session.
