European Competition for Equity
Brussels (BE), March 2011 - Participants are invited to take part in the EquNet campaign. It provides a platform for people to express their views and their activities related to equity issues in the European higher-education system and raises society's attention by ensuring high visibility for the best efforts in this area.
The target group of the campaign and competition is individuals involved or interested in equity in higher education, though the focus is especially on students.
The theme is ensuring and improving access to higher education in the widest sense for socially, geographically, physically, or otherwise hindered or disabled people, encouraging their involvement and motivating those who may help them.
Activities will be accepted in both the visual and audio-visual categories, as well as writing; the deadline is 10 May 2011.
The most outstanding contributions in terms of artistic value and best embracing the competition topic will be displayed at the venue of the second EquNet Conference in Brussels (autumn 2011), on the EquNet website, and on the EquNet Facebook page.
Two contributions, selected by a jury, will be invited to Brussels to the second EquNet Conference. Costs related to participation in the Conference are at the project's expense.
Participation in the contest is free.
