First Announcement and Call for Papers for ICL2011
Pieštany (SK), December 2010 - The fourteenth International Conference on Interactive Computer aided Learning (ICL2011) will be held 21-23 September 2011 in Pieštany, Slovakia. The interdisciplinary conference focuses on the exchange of relevant trends and research results, as well as the presentation of practical experiences in interactive computer-aided learning in higher education as well as in the corporate context.
The conference is organized by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in cooperation with Slovenská e-akadémia, n. o., Slovakia.
Submission deadlines for contributions are as follows:
02 May 2011 - Submission of extended abstracts for all submission types
30 May 2011 - Notification of acceptance
31 Aug 2011 - Camera-ready due
The abstracts should be submitted using the Electronic Submission System, where a template is available.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to
- web-based learning (wbl)
- adaptive and intuitive environments
- mobile learning environments and applications
- computer-aided language learning (call)
- platforms and authoring tools
- educational mashups
- collaborative learning
- multimedia applications and virtual reality
- pedagogical and psychological issues
- evaluation and outcomes assessment.
Other Special Track proposals are also welcome.
Types of contributions include full papers, short papers, interactive demonstrations, roundtable discussions, and posters and discussion panels. Other opportunities to participate are to run a workshop or tutorial or to organize a thematic session.
The conference language is English, and the proceedings will be published on CD in cooperation with the Kassel University Press (own ISBN number). The ICL General Chair is Michael E. Auer of the Carinthia Tech Institute Villach, Austria and the ICL2011 Chair is MikuláÅ¡ Huba from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia.
