First OLAT Users & Developers Conference
Zurich (CH), December 2007 - The call for papers is now open for the first OLAT Online Learning and Training conference which takes place 26 - 28 March 2008 at the University of Zurich. OLAT is a web-based open source Learning Management System (LMS) based on Java and is completely free of charge. The aim of the first OLAT Users & Developers Conference is to bring together all current OLAT users, developers, and translators to present best-practice use cases, exchange experience, and discuss current issues.
The conference's focus is twofold. The users' session targets worldwide OLAT users who would like to exchange the experience they have gained while modelling their didactic scenario in OLAT. For the call for papers, power users are encouraged to share their best- practice use cases, hidden features, or their first-hand experience while translating OLAT with the community.
For the developers' session, software engineers are addressed to share their know-how about the LMS. The organizers are planning to look further into the new OLAT framework Brasato, featuring a big step towards accessible web applications.
