International Conference on Mobile Networks
Berlin (GER), April 2012 - The fourth edition of IT Revolutions is being held in Berlin, 07-88 June 2012 with a special (but not limiting) focus on smart mobile networks. What would happen if billions of users entered the mobile Internet?
Last year, more mobile phones were sold than PCs worldwide. In Europe, more laptops are sold than PCs, and tablets have tremendously increased the usage of mobile services. Are P2P approaches still useful, and should cloud and P2P systems be merged? Do we need better hardware for energy-efficient routing of data? How can ad-hoc networks help in our mobile world?
In any case, information technology needs energy, and energy grids under development may offer a fundamental change as well, possibly due to the increasing use of renewable energy.
The Conference is designed to provide a space for scientific discussions crossing the usual borders between research fields and encouraging new synergies and viewpoints. IT Revolutions aims to support international cooperation, and therefore the Conference takes place in a different location for each edition.
All accepted papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world's largest scientific libraries. The proceedings will be submitted for indexing by Google Scholar, ISI, EI Compendex, Scopus, and elsewhere.
This event is organised by the European Alliance for Innovation, a leading community-based organisation devoted to the advancement of innovation in the field of ICT.
