Orlando, FL (USA), May 2009 - The seventh International Conference on Education and Information Systems, Technologies and Applications (EISTA) takes place in the context of the third International Multi-Conference on Society, Cybernetics, and Informatics (IMSCI 2009) from 10-13 July 2009 in Orlando, Florida, USA.
The main purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners from Education and Training and ICT in order to support the bridging process between the two communities.

Corporations are invited to present education and training information systems and software-based solutions. Teachers and university professors are invited to present case studies, information systems developed for specific purposes, and innovative ideas and designs.
The main objective of EISTA 2009 is to provide a forum for the presentation of both solutions and problems related to the applications of ICT in education and training. The following questions need answers from different perspectives:
- What is the impact of information and communication technologies in education and training?
- How are information and communication technologies affecting and improving education and training? What new networks and models are emerging?
- How are universities, schools, corporations, and other educational and training organizations making use of ICT?
- What electronic tools are there to facilitate eLearning, distance education, and corporate training?
