The Bridge of Knowledge from History to the Future
Istanbul (TR), April 2011 - "The International Educational Technology Conference (IETC)" is being held at Istanbul University 25 - 27 May 2011. The event will diffuse knowledge and research among academics and foster development in educational technology and instructional technologies.
This conference series was founded in 2001 and is now a well-known educational-technology event; the number of paper submissions and attendees increase every year. It promotes the development and dissemination of theoretical knowledge, conceptual research, and professional knowledge through symposium activities, the symposium book, and the Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology (TOJET).
Invited keynote speakers include:
Prof. Dr. Yavuz Akpinar, Boðaziçi University, Turkey, who will deliver a lecture entitled "Shall I Watch, Listen, Do, or Argue? A Journey from Page Turning to Argumentation in ICT-Based Settings" and
Prof. Dr. Teresa Franklin, Ohio University, USA on "Mobile Learning: Reaching the Tipping Point".
The programme includes a wide range of activities that will facilitate the exchange of expertise, experience, and resources among colleagues. These include keynote and invited talks, full and brief paper presentations, panels, and roundtable discussion sessions.
The official languages of the Conference are English and Turkish.
