The EFMD Conference and Excellence in Practice Award
Brussels (BE), March 2011 - The Management Development Network (EFMD) has extended an invitation to its annual conference in Brussels from 05-07 June 2011 titled "Business Education in 2025". It has also announced the EFMD Excellence in Practice Award, which attracts case studies describing an effective and impactful leadership and development intervention.
Submissions for the award should be an intervention in the learning and development domain deployed by an organisation (company, public sector, charity, etc.) either together with their in-house L&D organisation or with an external L&D provider. All partners must act as a team and contribute to the case study to ensure a balanced view. Case studies must demonstrate operational excellence (e.g. sustainable partnership and effective learning environment, etc.), excellent programme management, and above all strong business impact.
Submission is free if at least one of the applicants is an EFMD member organisation. A small administration fee (300 EUR) will be charged for non-members. Winning cases will be featured extensively across the EFMD network and published by Emerald Group Publishing. Deadline for submission of full papers is 01 May 2011. EFMD is offering one more Information Session Webinar on Excellence in Practice 2011 on Thursday 24 March from 09:00-10:00am (CET, Paris time). Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.
The EFMD Annual Conference is designed for all those interested in management education and development. Its main issues are how the corporate world will change, what its challenges in will be 2025, and how management educators can prepare the right talents to deal with these challenges. It brings together EFMD members, companies, educational institutions, and other associations, offering various perspectives and discussions on the Conference theme.
This year the Conference will be combined with the 2011 PRME Summit, taking place at the same venue on 07-08 June 2011 under the theme "Partnership in Responsibility: Embedding PRME in Support of the Corporation for the 21st Century". PRME attracts both educational institutions - PRME and non-PRME signatories - as well as a meaningful number of corporate participants (close to forty percent of the audience).
This is a must event for anyone involved in PRME. The discussions will be relevant to people who are responsible for implementing UNGC or PRME or have an interest in responsible management education and development.
Registration is now open for both events via the joint registration form. Benefit from the early bird registration fee until 15 March.
