Three EIfEL Events Coming Up

Maastricht (NL)/Paris (FR), August 2008 - Three conferences organised by EIfEL, the European Institute for eLearning, are coming up: one in Maastricht from the 22nd - 24th of October entitled "ePortfolio & Digital Identity 2008" and two in Paris on January 19th and 20th, the "iLearning Forum 2009" and the "RAC 2009".

This year's "ePortfolio & Digital Identity" conference challenge is "breaking boundaries for human capital development and social innovation-. The objective is to explore how digital technologies, and in particular ePortfolios and digital identities, are transforming individual and organisational learning and development. The event features plenary presentations, open forums, a full-day workshop, a series of other workshops, special interest group meetings, and parallel presentations.

The draft programme is now online, and an early-bird registration fee is available until the 31st of August.

The theme of this year's "iLearning Forum" is 'Integrated learning: embedding learning technologies for individual and organisational development'. Join international learning- professional colleagues to encounter and explore state-of-the-art practice in the use of technology for education and the development and management of human resources.

This year's event will be enriched by a parallel event, the first francophone and international conference on the recognition and validation of achievement and competencies, in cooperation with the organisers of the major Montreal conference on the same theme (RAC 2006 and RAC 2008).

The call for contributions for both January conferences is now open; contributions in English and French are invited. The deadline for receipt of abstracts (min 500, max 750 words) is 30 September.
