Major New Functionality to the Adapt Learning Project

London (UK), November 2014 - Adapt Learning is an open-source, responsive eLearning development framework. Since its code release to the open-source community by City & Guilds Kineo in September 2013, it has gone from strength to strength by gaining more than ninety contributors across the globe.

As the project continues to gain momentum, City & Guilds Kineo has announced it will be releasing a range of new components and plugins to the open source community and showcasing them in a live, free webinar that will take place on 04 November, 11AM GMT.

The webinar will demonstrate around twenty new components and plugins in action, all of which have been developed by City & Guilds Kineo and will be released to the open-source code base. The components that will be showcased include

  • a host of new presentation and question components
  • a selection of new menus
  • a variety of powerful extensions, such as search, bookmarking and in-page navigation.

Speaking of Adapt Learning, Technical Director Sven Laux, said, "As the original founders of Adapt, we're still extremely passionate about it and love contributing to the open-source project. We have been busy developing a range of new components for Adapt, all of which are being released to the open-source code base."
