Sixth International Integrity and Plagiarism Conference
Gateshead (UK), April 2014 - The sixth International Integrity and Plagiarism Conference (6IIPC) will seek to promote the importance of academic integrity as a way of life and reinforce the relevance of academic skills in the real world, where these values should be rewarded, applauded, and celebrated. The Conference will be held 16 - 18 June 2014 in Sage Gateshead.
The 6IIPC will showcase best practice in addressing plagiarism and promoting academic integrity through authentic assessment on the global stage. The Conference offers a unique opportunity to share experiences with like-minded individuals from around the world for over two days of stimulating discussion on approaches to assessment, institutional thinking, and enhancing the student experience through academic integrity.
Keynote speakers include Dan Ariely, Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics, Duke University, USA; Tricia Bertram Gallant, Academic Integrity Coordinator, University of California, USA; Adrian Slater, Head of Legal Services, University of Leeds, UK; and Will Murray, Senior Vice President Product and International, Turnitin, UK.
Since its inception in 2004, the biennial IIPC conference has developed a reputation for attracting pioneering research in plagiarism and academic integrity from education practitioners at all levels. Delegates attending the Conference increasingly reflect the global scope of this topic, and previous conferences have attracted academics from the UK and other European countries, as well as the US, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.
