Netex to Host Their First UK Event "Network and Learn"
Leeds (UK), July 2023 - Netex Learning announces their first UK event, to be held in Leeds city centre. They aim to provide a space for local businesses to network and share insights, as well as learn how to overcome their industry challenges with the help of learning and development.
Having acquired Virtual College, a UK-based eLearning company, at the start of 2022, Netex has been working hard to develop their brand within the UK. They started the year exhibiting their suite of products at well-known L&D exhibitions such as World of Learning and Learning Technologies, and now they feel it's the right time to host an event of their own.
Their event Network and Learn brings together L&D professionals and HR practitioners and provides an opportunity to address shared business challenges and their solutions. Hosted at The Terrace, Wellington Place Leeds, 12 July, 15.00-16.00, attendees will also have the opportunity to listen to industry experts Donald H Taylor and Jez Anderson.
Donald H Taylor, Lead Researcher for the L&D Global Sentiment Survey, will be exploring the challenges and opportunities for L&D in the 21st century. Drawing on case studies and research, he will examine why things seem to be changing so fast and explore the opportunities as well as examine the risks. The key takeaway is, as always, it's not just about new technologies, but also about new ways of working - both with the business and inside the L&D department itself.
Jez Anderson, Digital Learning Consultant, will be discussing a client case study, revealing how to shift from content-led to experience-led learning through the effective use of an LMS. Having worked in the learning and development sector for over 30 years, he has a particular interest and passion for informal learning and developing learning cultures that nurture and support individual resourcefulness and enquiry.
If networking and learning aren’t enough, there will be Yorkshire tapas on offer alongside Spanish beer and wine, as a nod to Netex's Spanish head office.
