TJ Awards 2020 Cancelled
London (UK), July 2020 - Following the UK’s response to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, the organizers of the TJ Awards have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 TJ Awards programme.
The health and wellbeing of the participants, judges, and colleagues are at the forefront of our planning, and the decision to cancel this year's programme is in response to social-distancing measures and official guidance we expect to remain in place for some time.
The organizers would like to thank those who have been involved in the awards process - from the partners and supporters to the award champions and their esteemed panel of colleagues who generously agreed to judge this year's entries.
They would like to express the gratitude to the applicants from across the globe who have submitted an entry for the 2020 TJ Awards. The quality of submissions TJ have received so far demonstrates the hard work and excellence of learning and development professionals and the degree of passion individuals feel in regard to their continuing professional development.
Reflecting on the decision, editor Jon Kennard said, "I think that Dods, the parent company of TJ, has navigated its way through the last few months very well, but it's had to make tough decisions along the way, and this is one of those.
"It wasn't one made lightly or with any satisfaction, and I want to thank all entrants who put the time and effort into their applications, and for their exemplary work in learning and development that led them to apply in the first place. My thanks also go to our events and marketing teams, who had worked so hard to bring this brilliant event to fruition. Let's work hard on next year's events in the L&D space."
