Young Creative Awards: "Learning Designers of the Future"

Derbyshire (UK), April 2021 - Learning consultancy Walkgrove seeks to nurture the next generation of learning designers, visual artists, and creatives through sponsorship of this year's Young Creative Awards. Open to 11 to 24-year-olds, the annual competition celebrates creativity across eleven diverse categories, from film, graphic design, and music to dance, animation, and photography. The awards are designed to help talented young people access education, training, and employment opportunities and to support a flourishing cultural and business community.

Leading eLearning and training consultancy Walkgrove has been announced as one of the sponsors of this year's Young Creative Awards, a competition that supports and celebrates the creative achievements of young people in Nottingham. Now an established part of the Midlands' cultural calendar, the Young Creative Awards have given out over 300 prizes in the last twelve years. Winners receive cash, unique industry experience, and creative encouragement.

Sponsors support a network of creative and industry professionals to help awardees carve out their creative careers and have a positive impact on the culture and economy of the city.

Walkgrove Managing Director Sarah Smith commented, "Creativity is the life blood of Walkgrove's work in training development. Our award-winning team includes storytellers, creative writers, and skilled visual and vocal artists. We are delighted to support the Young Creative Awards in boosting the next generation of creatives. These bright young people could well be the learning designers, training architects, graphic artists, and problem solvers of the future."

Past winners of the Young Creative Awards include successful musicians Rob Green and Philip George; writer, performer, and former editor of LeftLion newspaper, Bridie Squires; acclaimed dancer Jamal Sterrett Phoenix; social media superstar Romanie-Jade Tulloch; and published author Rebecca Constable.

Nick Lawford, Project Co-ordinator, Young Creatives Nottingham said, "The Young Creative Awards would not exist without the support of sponsors spanning business, education, and the arts. We are very pleased and proud to welcome Walkgrove as our newest category sponsor this year. It's inspiring to see a company that values creativity so highly. We look forward to working with the Walkgrove team this year to support and nurture the creative talent of young people locally."
