eLearning for Foster Parents
Sunrise (FL, USA), October 2006 - More than 5,500 foster parents across the State of New Jersey will receive online, at-home training with the LearnCenter Workforce Productivity Suite by Learn.com® as early as next year.
As Francesca Gervasi, Director of Education and Training for Foster and Adoptive Family Services (FAFS), explains, "New Jersey state law requires each foster parent to complete fifteen hours of in-service training to maintain their license on a yearly basis, so we needed a solution that would empower us to provide that training in an online format. LearnCenter will enable us to launch, track, and manage every aspect of that initiative and provide our foster parents with the convenience of taking training from the comfort of their own homes. We are making every effort to make license maintenance as easy as possible for our over 5,500 parents across the State of New Jersey."
For the non-profit agency, the advantage of Learn.com's LearnCenter lies in the complete ownership and operation of the program by Learn.com, so there is no middleware involved. Training with LearnCenter does not require the Foster and Adoptive Family Services to maintain IT resources or a large staff in order to deliver the training.
The award-winning LearnCenter enables the creation, delivery, management, and tracking of any enterprise-wide human capital or eLearning initiative, whether in the classroom or online. LearnCenter creates a cost-effective, high-quality training and educational environment designed to meet the individual development and training needs of all users. Performance management, content management, online authoring, human capital management, collaboration, e-commerce, portal authoring, and more are available with solution and a single interface.
