Barcelona (E), March 2016 - The publication formerly known as “Revista de Universidad y Sociedad del conocimiento” (RUSC. Universities and Knowledge Society Journal) has been renamed the “International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education” (ETHE). On 31 August 2015, the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), editors of the journal, entered into an agreement with the prestigious Springer publishing group for RUSC’s publication.
ETHE was launched in January 2016, raising the journal’s international visibility and improving its positioning. The renaming seeks to clarify the periodical’s objectives and academic scope.
The journal remains under the academic management of UOC and will continue to be published in digital format only. It will also remain open access and free of charge to authors. The time from an article’s acceptance to its publication will be reduced, and the journal will now only accept and publish articles in English.
Dr Josep M. Duart (UOC) and Dr Rosalind James (University of New England) will continue to serve as academic directors, and Elsa Corominas (UOC) will stay on as managing editor.
