New York, NY (USA)/ Hagen (GER), July 2019 - M.I.T and the FernUniversität Hagen participated in the International Conference on E-Learning in the Workplace (ICELW) in New York City, where they presented their joint project "InDigiTrain". The eleventh ICELW conference took place this June at Columbia University in Manhattan. "InDigiTrain" stands for "Integrated Digital Training" and aims at the modernization of qualification in the German healthcare sector.

"Mit der mobilen Lernplattform können unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler flexibel lernen, wann und wo sie wollen", fasst Cornelia Oestereich, Schulleiterin der Logopädieschule Hattingen zusammen. Dennoch bleiben Lehrkräfte in Verbindung mit ihren Auszubildenden: Eine mobile Lernplattform sorgt für die virtuelle Kommunikation und Vernetzung. Gleichzeitig werden dort auch multimediale Lerninhalte hinterlegt. An den Konzepten haben Lehrkräfte der AWO sowie Schülerinnen und Schüler im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes "InDigiTrain" (Integriertes digitales Training) mitgearbeitet.
» MEHRFriedrichsdorf (GER), August 2016 - InDigiTrain stands for "integrated digital training", viewed as a motor for making the continuing education and training structures of speech therapists and hygiene professionals more flexible. The collaborative project promoted by the Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the European Union’s European Social Fund (ESF) started 01 June 2016. The German company M.I.T is a cooperation partner in the collaborative project, together with the Workers’ Welfare Association (AWO) chapter in Ennepe/Ruhr, and Bildungsinstitut im Gesundheitswesen (BiG - Training Institute for Health Services). The Open University in Hagen is the project coordinator.
