Joint Statement on the Use of OER in the Covid-19 Response
Paris (F), May 2020 - In response to the massive disruption of education due to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting 1.57 billion learners in 191 countries, UNESCO has issued a Call to support learning and knowledge sharing through Open Educational Resources (OER) worldwide.

Kassel (GER), November 2019 - Together with the Indian institute IIT Mumbai and partners from industry, The Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology IEE has launched a capacity building program for energy system transformation in India. The focus of this program is on grid integration of renewable energy. It was initiated by the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ and aims at employees of Indian grid operators who are active in grid operation and management. The training program combines online and presence modules in topics such as generation, forecasting, integration, control, and visualization of renewable energies, as well as market mechanisms, regulation, and politics.

Kassel/Mumbai, November 2019 - Mit dem Schwerpunkt Netzintegration erneuerbarer Energien hat das Fraunhofer IEE aus Kassel gemeinsam mit Partnern aus der Industrie und dem indischen Institut IIT Mumbai ein Capacity-Building-Programm für die Energiewende in dem zweitbevölkerungsreichsten Land der Erde gestartet. Das von der Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ initiierte Schulungsprogramm richtet sich an Mitarbeitende indischer Netzbetreiber, die im Netzbetrieb und -management tätig sind. Das Trainingsprogramm kombiniert Online- und Präsenzmodule in Themenfeldern wie Erzeugung, Vorhersage, Systemintegration, Regelung und Visualisierung erneuerbarer Energien sowie Marktmechanismen, Regulatorik und Politik.
