Porto (PRT), April 2021 - Through the X-Plora app, visitors to the historic Portuguese village of Almeida are now able to travel 200 years into the past and visit a castle that no longer exists - and also see its inhabitants and troops. They will thus gain a better perception of the local conditions in the 19th century.

The X-Plora team embarked on a mission to re-create some key elements of the village. The castle was entirely digitally recreated. Now visitors can see this re-creation - and even walk inside one of the old tunnels. A military camp was also re-created, offering a 360º experience.  Also brought back to life was the old monastery of Senhora Loreto, and these are just three examples of the kind of experience given new life with X-Plora.
