Ninth International ePortfolio & Identity Conference
London (UK), March 2011 - How do ePortfolios contribute to the identity-construction process? How do ePortfolios support the acquisition of 21st-century skills? How do ePortfolios support lifelong learning, orientation, and employability? Why are ePortfolio generally still non-interoperable? To find the answers to these questions and more, join the ninth ePortfolio and Identity Conference (ePIC), 11-13 July 2011, at the Savoy Place, London.
This conference brings together policy makers, researchers, teachers, trainers, human-resource managers, and technologists. As a thematic event, it allows an in-depth and broad exploration of the issues - and results in real outcomes. Past events have resulted in the creation of national and international networks, made contributions to policies and to standardisation bodies, helped establish partnerships with other communities in the field of digital identity and human-resource standards, and promoted a basis for transnational projects and numerous publications.
The following list is indicative of issues and topics authors might wish to address in the different conference tracks.
- ePortfolio, social networks, web 2.0, and identity construction
- ePortfolio in healthcare education and practice
- ePortfolio in initial education and lifelong learning
- ePortfolio in assessment and accreditation
- ePortfolio in employability and organisational learning
- ePortfolio and identity policies and implementation
- ePortfolio and identity, technologies, and system architectures
For the second time, the international ePortfolio & Identity Conference will have ePortfolios in healthcare as a major theme, and papers are invited on all aspects of ePortfolios in healthcare. Twenty abstracts and the five best papers will be published in the International Journal of Clinical Skills (IJOCS).
Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research as full papers or work-in-progress reports and position papers as short papers. All submissions will be peer reviewed by three members of the programme committee for originality, significance, clarity, and quality. Each submission must explicitly address at least one of the conference tracks or themes.
Important dates for making a submission:
31 March 2011 - Deadline for the submission of abstracts.
20 April 2011 - Notification of acceptance of presentation to authors.
30 June 2011 - Deadline for the submission of the final version of long and short papers.
