London (UK), December 2016 - As we look towards the fast-approaching New Year, SumTotal, a leading provider of unified HCM solutions proven to drive organizational performance, took the opportunity to ask 100 customers in Germany and the UK about the HR challenges they’ve faced this year. The survey results found that 38% of respondents considered a lack of insight into the existing skills within their business to be the biggest challenge when upskilling their workforce. Another big finding was related to the question of data: 60% of those asked stated they needed data to confidently understand the L&D needs across the business.
Most Organizations Need to Improve "Ineffective" Strategies
Toronto (CA), September 2016 - Most businesses question the effectiveness of their learning-and-development (L&D) strategies in actually meeting business goals according to a new study by Brandon Hall Group (BHG) on the current state of L&D. The report, State of Learning and Development 2016: Ready to Evolve, surveyed nearly 500 small, medium, and large organizations in 22 countries and across 35 industries to develop a clear picture on the strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities for businesses from an L&D perspective.

Cirencester (UK), August 2016 - The UK's largest study into the use of virtual reality (VR) in learning, published by Kallidus, shows VR has captured the imagination of L&D professionals and could prove to be the next big transformational learning technology. The research, entitled "Virtual Reality: The next big transformational learning technology", is available online. The findings reveal that 91% of L&D professionals plan to use VR for learning in their organisation, with over a third planning to roll out VR over the next three years.
