New Online Community and Learning Software Launch
Turku (FI), February 2012 - Sanoko launched a new, free online teacher's community in January. The Finland-based firm also previewed an extension of its study-product portfolio in March, with Study Solo, an interactive multimedia content-and-language-learning application in one package.
Sanoko's LanguagePoint is a free online library of resources for language teaching. Currently, most of the uploaded resources are for English-language teaching, but resources in any language can be shared. There is also a broad assortment of content at a variety of levels and on a range of topics.
The LanguagePoint contains language-teaching resources for use with Sanako installations and applications and that can also be used in general classroom situations. The site also includes a tips section and a discussion forum.
"Over time we have gathered extensive knowledge of the challenges that language teachers face worldwide. Based on this we wanted to create a tool for teachers that is useful on many levels, a tool that not only features a resource base for teachers, but which is also a community to share knowledge and learn from their peers. Best of all, this tool is made by teachers, for teachers!", says Tobias Elgh, CEO at Sanako.
Sanako's extension of its study-product portfolio, called Sanako Study Solo, will launch in March. Study Solo is a language-learning software application with integrated content for improving language skills either independently or in the language classroom.
Deploying Study Solo is easy and the application provides Sanako customers with a great stand-alone option for language study. After purchase it can quickly be activated by a token available from Sanako's internet site. Content modules can also be easily downloaded from the internet and quickly installed into the application's content library, where users can actively interact with the content and start improving their language skills immediately.
