Conference Scope of the EFQUEL Innovation Forum 2010
Brussels (BE), July 2010 - Prof. Ulf-Daniel Ehlers, Vice-President of EFQUEL and chair of the EFQUEL Innovation Forum 2010 program committee, is inviting interested practitioners, researchers and policy makers in Europe to take part in a special conference on opening education and quality. In his public invitation letter, he proposes an overall vision for quality education and ways to meet the EFQUEL objectives at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
We invite you to a journey to a world of innovation, inclusion, and excellence - "innocludence". In this world, educational opportunities and resources are openly available for everybody. The inhabitants of this world benefit from open educational opportunities because they help them to
- actively participate in improving life in their societies, engage in cultural and learning activities, and thereby dynamically shape a new vision of civil society;
- be able to enter into a self-determined work relationship with employers and be able to fulfil, innovate, and create value in their jobs and organizations;
- acquire skills for self-development that make them autonomous and competent to solve problems in an unforeseeable future;
- be equipped with skills to participate in and shape intercultural global cooperation within their fields of interest and professions; and
- become competent lifelong learners and generators of their own meaningful knowledge needed to navigate in an innovation-driven society.
In this world, innovation is not an end in itself but an element of a constant improvement process. Here, excellence is not in opposition to inclusion; it benefits all. And also, wealth creation is not opposed to inclusion; both are integral parts of prosperity.
Interested in joining the journey? EFQUEL recommends registering soon because only a limited number of participants can attend the EFQUEL Innovation Forum 2010.
