eLearning Africa 2007 - Call for Papers and Proposals
Nairobi (Kenya), November 2006 - The second International Conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training, eLearning Africa, will take place from May 28 to 30, 2007 in Nairobi, Kenya.
After the positive assessment and feedback of this year's conference, the up-coming event aims at reaching out beyond the conference center in Nairobi with two break-out workshops outside the city and large-scale lectures in Kenyan universities. This effort is consistent with the 2007 theme "Building Infrastructures and Capacities to Reach out to the Whole of Africa".
A call for papers and proposals has been issued for all suggestions and ideas for the conference agenda, which should be related to the main themes for eLearning Africa 2007. Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals for any of the following:
- To lead a workshop, seminar, or meeting to take place on the pre-conference day, Monday, May 28, 2007
- To make a presentation in a themed session during the conference.
- To suggest a debate topic for a debate or discussion during the conference.
- To suggest a special-focus Session on a particular topic that you would lead during the conference.
- To give a demonstration of a specific tool or application during one of the demonstration sessions during the conference.
- To show a specific course in the Best Practice Showcase during the conference.
Deadline for receipt of all proposals is Friday, December 8, 2006.
Contributors will be contacted by Monday, February 19, 2007 to acknowledge acceptance of their proposal. Applicants whose submissions are selected for inclusion in the conference agenda will be offered a significantly reduced conference registration fee.
