Join an International Conference on the Bosporus

Istanbul (TR), March 2012 - The international New Media Conference (INMC 2012) is being held in Istanbul from 16-18 May 2012. The main goal of this conference is to present and discuss new trends in science and technology.

The INMC2012 conference is supported by many universities and organizations. It will be hosted at Istanbul University, where academic culture has long been a tradition. INMC2012 has already formed a large, multinational, and collegial community of colleagues who love to share ideas. INMC2012 invites you to submit proposals for papers, panels, best practices, roundtables, tutorials, posters or demonstrations, and workshops.

The principal objectives of the International New Media Conference are to develop critical frameworks and methodologies that influence the reception, consumption, and impact of new technologies. The Conference specifically addresses human-computer interaction, computer-mediated communication, social interaction, and networking.

The Conference is further dedicated to monitoring the conditions of emergence of new media technologies, their subsequent mass production, and the development of new cultural forms. It promotes discussion and analysis of the creative and educational potentials of these technologies, and contextualizes the relevant cultural practices within wider cultural and political debates.

The Conference strives to shed light on inter- and intra-disciplinary research of new media texts and technologies. The book of proceedings will be published in e-book format after the event.
