Essen (GER)/ Vilnius (LT), July 2007 - KNOWLEDGE BRIDGE is a European Leonardo da Vinci Project for innovative online vocational training solutions to support the implementation of sustainable water management and the European Water Framework Directive (WFD). As part of the project, European water managers and online training experts are invited to take part in a European Conference for Sustainable Water Management being held in to Vilnius, Lithuania, September 4-5, 2007.
The objective of the conference is to provide an opportunity to water manager, hydrologists and decision makers working in the field of water management to exchange experience, research results, and ideas on:
Keynote speakers from various European countries will present their visions and experience in the field of sustainable water management, and the participants and they will discuss with how to proceed with the realization of this long-term European policy.
The new European "Water-Online Network" (WON) will be officially launched at the conference. WON is a trans-national platform for knowledge sharing among water experts. In addition, KNOWLEDGE BRIDGE will present online training solutions to support the adaptation of the European Water Framework Directive.
All European water managers and online training experts can benefit from participation in the European Conference for Sustainable Water Management and by joining the "Water-Online Network" (WON).
