ELIG Is Shaping Its Future Directions
Brussels (BE)/Dublin (IR), October 2007 - Hosted by the Intel EMEA Innovation Centre, the ELIG Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 13 November 2007 in Dublin. After repositioning itself in June this year, the European Learning Industry Group now wants to further define and validate its directions and initiatives. The meeting is open for everybody interested in the work of ELIG.
Other objectives of the meeting are sharing thought-leadership input regarding the evolution of the industry and its ecosystem and discussing key projects and initiatives in which ELIG members might engage themselves.
The meeting will open with messages from Maruja Gutierrez-Diaz, European Commission, DG Education and Culture and the new ELIG Chairs Joe Hegarty, Intel and Fabrizio Cardinali, Giunti Labs. Knowledge and Learning in the 21st Century is the theme of the keynote presented by Google. Christian Stracke from D-ELAN, the German eLearning Network, will speak about building a network of Learning Industry associations across Europe.
ELIG is an open industry group with members representing the ecosystem for 21st century learning solutions. ELIG's mission is targeted toward three areas: providing policy input at a European level, acting as a communication channel to the marketplace, and constituting a platform for cooperation.
