Building eLearning Capacities in Africa
Accra (GH)/Berlin (GER), March 2008 - eLearning Africa 2008, the third Pan-African Conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training, will take place from May 28 - 30, 2008 in Accra, Ghana. The conference and accompanying exhibition are under the patronage of the Ghanaian Minister for Education, Science and Sports, the Hon. Prof. Dominic K. Fobih. More than 380 proposals have been received in response to the call for proposals.
eLearning Africa has established itself as the largest and most comprehensive capacity-building development event for technology-enhanced education and training on the African continent. The 2007 conference attracted more than 1,400 participants, with nearly 80% coming from Africa and a total of 88 countries represented.
eLearning Africa has become the target destination of Africa's key educational decision makers, opinion leaders, experts, and practitioners from governments, public and private education, and corporate HRD. These professionals use the international forum to discuss leading-edge developments and proven solutions in the field of technology-supported learning and training within the African context.
The 2008 Conference will address sixteen themes, covering all aspects of technology-enhanced education and training:

The event is accompanied by an exhibition.
