Authoring and Delivery of eLearning Content Made Easy
Pune (IN), December 2009 - Upside Learning announces UpsideLMS Version 4.0, with an in-built, integrated authoring module for rapid content development. The authoring module presents an innovative way of rapid authoring using a number of templates that provide a complete WYSIWYG editing experience to the content authors. UpsideLMS Version 4.0 has been designed to offer a complete learning-management solution to the customers, including training management as well as content authoring/ management. Even though the output is completely Flash-based, the tool requires no knowledge of Flash. The author simply needs to have a storyboard ready.
The rapid authoring module is an integrated module in the UpsideLMS, making it a seamless activity to create courses and deliver them to the users without a need to download and upload courses as a separate activity. However, the courses can still be downloaded, if needed, in any of the compliance formats - SCORM 1.2 / SCORM 2004 / AICC or even plain Flash EXE format.
The rapid authoring module offers the capability to create multiple versions of the same course with minor or major variation. It further offers a collaborative environment allowing multiple authors to work on the system at the same time. Authors can choose the access privileges they want to provide to other author-users in the system on the courses they are creating. This complete control offers a secure environment.
All these features are packaged in a highly intuitive interface that lets the authors focus only on the content creation part. Extensive help at every point and wizards let the authors create courses rapidly, but without compromising on the final quality.
Amit Gautam, Director of Technology Solutions at Upside Learning, says, "The rapid authoring module is powered by our UpsideRapid Version 1.0, which will be soon available as a standalone product. It also offers all the authoring and management capabilities, along with the delivery and tracking features of the UpsideLMS. Rapid authoring is a critical need at organizations, and the module approaches this task with a single-minded objective: create effective and engaging eLearning rapidly."
