Docebo in Doha for Key HR Conference

Naples / Milan (I), March 2014 - Today's complex economic conditions, new approaches to management and leadership, and the increasing use of technology pose challenges to human-resource (HR) professionals. To help get a grip on these issues, on 17 March 2014, delegates from around the world are gathering at the Concorde Hotel Doha in Qatar for the HR Trends Symposium.

Exploring how these trends are changing the way that business operates, the Symposium will pose the following key questions:

  • How are practices changing among those who lead companies?
  • What are the risks associated with these changes - and how might they be minimised?
  • What can be learned from HR practices around the world?

Claudio Erba, CEO of Docebo, a global eLearning-solutions provider, will contribute to the discussion. At 10.15 in the hotel's Ras Laffan Halls, he will present a paper on Facing the Global Economic Crisis through Human-Resource and Business-process Humanization.

Erba will be presenting the results of recent Docebo research into the eLearning market. Among the research's findings are the following:

  • The world market for self-paced eLearning, some $35.6bn in 2011, is said to be growing overall at about 7.6% a year, with the greatest regional growth happening in Asia, followed by Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
  • The world market for learning-management systems (LMS) is currently worth some $2.55bn a year.
  • The eLearning sector worldwide has received some $6bn of venture capital since 2009.

"The current speed of change means that employees need to be trained continuously in order for companies to avoid the dangers of being out-thought and out-maneuvered by competitors," says Erba.

"We believe these training initiatives need to be monitored and managed via a consistent and reliable tracking system. This system's data can be stored, consulted, and analyzed for such things as management reports on productivity and for assessing individuals' career advancement."

Docebo will also be exhibiting its products and services during the Symposium. Recently, it released the latest version - 6.2 - of its eLearning platform: a learning-management system (LMS) Cloud Solution that supports enterprise learning from end to end.

In January this year, Docebo version 6.1 was placed seventh among the world's top fifty LMSs by the independent market analyst Craig Weiss, of eLearning 24/7. Despite Docebo 6.1's high standing among the world's LMSs, the new version contains numerous improvements and enhancements.

Docebo 6.2's Enterprise Cloud Solution (ECS) offers more flexible pricing options and enables organizations to achieve improved performance via such things as an ILT-Classroom App, which allows trainers to organize courses and sessions, classrooms, locations, enrollments, assessments, and evaluations.
