Celebrating Ten Years of Online Teaching Resources
Tucson, AZ (USA), April 2012 - Learning A-Z, a provider of online resources for teachers and students, and a business unit of Cambium Learning® Group, Inc. is marking its ten-year anniversary by celebrating all year long. Each month, Learning A-Z is launching a significant new feature to its websites and holding contests that invite educators to share ideas.
Learning A-Z launched its first website, Reading A-Z, in 2002. Its purpose was to make teachers' lives better by providing a large collection of high-quality, easy-to-access resources for differentiated instruction - all at a low cost.
At that time, Reading A-Z consisted of about 150 levelled readers, some phonics lessons, and other assorted resources. Today, the site has grown to nearly 1,000 levelled readers, along with activity sheets, graphic organizers, quizzes, and much more. The company also offers projectable and eBook versions of all the levelled books and quizzes and has added five websites, including the popular Raz-Kids reading site for students, Science A-Z, and Writing A-Z.
The collection of products is not all that has grown; so has the usage. Within ten years, Learning A-Z has gained users in more than half the school districts in the United States, every Canadian province, and more than 155 countries around the world.
"We have teachers to thank for all of this", says Bob Holl, co-founder and publisher of Learning A-Z. "It is only through their support and valuable input that our phenomenal growth has been possible."
