First Media Celebrate Twenty-Year Anniversary
Lincolnshire (UK), December 2019 - One of the UK’s leading eLearning design specialists are celebrating twenty years in business. The company started back in 1999 by developing CD-ROMs from a conservatory in a Lincolnshire village, but they have gone on to become one of the biggest names in eLearning.
One of the first projects the digital innovators First Media worked on was CD-ROM entitled "Laws of the Game" for the FA. Twenty years later, they are still developing eLearning for the FA - although the technology and graphics have improved a bit since then!
In fact, over the last two decades, First Media have designed eLearning for some of the biggest names in sport, including the Premier League, EFL, RFU, LFE, and the IOC. Furthermore, their highly creative and engaging courses have educated hundreds of thousands of players, coaches, athletes, and young scholars all over Europe.
Director Shane Traill, who joined company in 2003, has been the creative lead on all eLearning projects during First Media’s ascendancy. "I absolutely love my role," Shane said, "because I work with a great team and excellent clients every single day. I get to help large organisations create great online content and ultimately achieve better results."
From their work with the likes of the FA, Premier League, and the IOC, First Media have become an eLearning specialist for sporting organisations, but their ability to bring learning to life isn’t limited in to just sport.
The eLearning experts have also developed a brand induction for Saks Hair and Beauty; health and safety training for EAL, an engineering skills awarding body; career coaching support for Right Management; and they are just putting the finishing touches to a big project for the agricultural giants Landex. So, the future is looking bright for the creative digital agency, which also offers events, marketing, web design, and marketing support to their clients.
To mark First Media’s milestone anniversary, the digital innovators recently threw a 1999 themed party for their team and included plenty of throwbacks the era when the company was first founded. Along with a very cool cake made in the style of a 90s desktop computer and retro games to bring back plenty of memories, they produced a video that tells the twenty-year story of the company that’s managed to stay ahead of the game for the last two decades.
