iSpring Launches Suite 11.8

Transition Morph and Moodle Plugin Now Supported

Alexandria, VA (USA), September 2024 - iSpring, a leading US-based eLearning software vendor and solutions provider for corporate learning, has announced the release of the iSpring Suite 11.8 update. The new version brings about the long-expected new features that enhance iSpring Suite's ability to integrate with various existing customer edtech materials and infrastructures. The new release features a fully functional plugin for Moodle, support for PowerPoint Morph transition, and complete customization of visuals in QuizMaker.

iSpring Suite is a comprehensive authoring tool that enables users to craft eLearning courses of any complexity and for any audience using a wide range of learning materials and content. With iSpring Suite, you can create professional-looking courses in only a few simple steps that require neither an IT background nor specific skill sets.

iSpring Suite Max comes with a built-in content library of assets, templates, and content that gets expanded constantly. It also has extensive integration capabilities that allow you to smoothly build iSpring into your existing corporate ecosystem, use previously created educational materials, and connect existing solutions that you use in a single powerful eLearning infrastructure.

Michael Keller, Chief Product Officer at iSpring Solutions, commented, "We understand the fact that many of our customers have already been using something for corporate education, even if it's just presentations in PowerPoint. Our goal is to help customers create the best possible eLearning solutions that suit their exact needs and make iSpring the basis of such a solution. That is why we strive to improve iSpring Suite integrational capability and help our customers ease into iSpring and make it into a true eLearning powerhouse."

The Morph transition in PowerPoint is one of the most popular ones. It allows users to animate objects in presentations and create smooth, captivating transitions between slides, which increases audience engagement. Starting with version 11.8, it is possible to fully keep these effects when porting presentations to iSpring Suite. Now the course constructor displays all the animations perfectly, just as PowerPoint does.

Moodle is a favorite tool that many of our customers know and use. It supports the SCORM format, but the report files may prove hard to display and are not reader friendly. The new free Moodle plugin allows users to load courses and quizzes from iSpring Suite to Moodle and make course materials repeatable. The plugin also allows them to display accumulated reports about all quiz attempts or students, and show quiz attempt details for particular students in a comprehensive, easy-to-read report. Additionally, materials can be updated without resolving statistics to default values.

To make course material more engaging and to better prompt learners to do certain actions, we have introduced the enhanced mouse hover functionality. Now, if this option is enabled, when users hover the mouse over an interactive object in course materials, it becomes visually highlighted when they hover over it or click on it. We have also corrected the issue that prevented hover effects from being displayed correctly after course publication.

We have also introduced improved element editing in QuizMaker. Now, it is possible to customize various slide elements, making this a very useful feature for users who want to introduce branding to their tests. Or, if they just want to create visually pleasing test materials but don't have sufficient designer skills, they can select from a variety of new QuizMaker themes and pick a design that perfectly matches their task.
