E-Research and Technology-Enhanced Learning
Lancaster (UK), December 2007 - In January 2008, the Centre for Studies in Advanced Learning Technology, Department of Educational Research, Lancaster University, UK, launches a new structured, part-time Doctoral Programme in E-Research and Technology- Enhanced Learning. This innovative programme combines a limited number of face-to-face residential meetings with considerable online learning and will be available to anyone in the world wishing to develop eLearning research and practice.
The course has a modular structure. The five modules of the first and second years are:
- Module One: Research Methods in Education and Social Science Settings: Philosophy, methodology, techniques, and tools;
- Module Two: The Development of Professional Practice;
- Module Three: Researching Technology-Enhanced/Networked Learning, Teaching and Assessment;
- Module Four: Groups and Communities: Researching the Design of Technology Enhanced Learning;
- Module Five: Interculturality and Globalisation in TEL.
The following two years are dedicated to the preparation of the thesis and module six, which is the conversion document that covers Researching and Reflecting on Technology Enhanced Learning in Post-Compulsory Education.
