New York, NY (USA), January 2019 - Submissions for the 2019 International E-Learning Awards - Business Division, presented by the International E-Learning Association (IELA), are now open! The Entry Submission Page is posted on the IELA site, and the deadline for submission is 01 March 2019. Submissions for our Academic categories will be accepted beginning in March 2019, with a deadline of 10 June 2019. 

London (UK), December 2018 - At Learning Technologies 2019, a recognised expert on games and learning, Karl Kapp, will help learning professionals to think like game designers and transform stale training into exciting and interesting experiences. The term gamification is thrown around liberally in L&D these days, with the benefits of using game theory in learning now an established principle. But designing engaging and compelling games is an art in its own right, and adding points or leaderboards into learning design simply doesn't do it justice.

Brussels (BE), December 2018 - The next ELIG event, 11-12 February 2019, is a special partnership with OBA, Amsterdam's Open Public Library. It marks the OBA’s 100th anniversary, which will be celebrated over a period of weeks, with many new learning activities in the city. It presents a perfect opportunity to pose the question: "What makes our cities learning friendly?"
