Sloan-C International Conference on Online Learning
Orlando, FL (USA), February 2008 - "The Power of Online Learning: Improving Learning in a Networked World" is the theme of the fourteenth Sloan-C International Conference on Asynchronous Learning Networks (ALN). The conference takes place in Orlando, Florida from 5 to 7 November, 2008. The call for papers is now open and the conference committee strongly encourages the submission of proposals that reflect the implications for the field of specific eLearning experience and practices.
This conference, which will provide the latest information on asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning.
The keynote speaker is Terry Anderson, Director of the Canadian Institute for Distance Education Research. He is also Professor and Canada Research Chair in Distance Education at Athabasca University - Canada's Open University. He will speak about "Social Networking".
Last year's conference attracted over 1100 participants to more than 150 presentations, as well as exhibits, pre-conference workshops, keynote and plenary addresses, and a variety of other special events.
The deadline for abstracts and proposals is 11 April 2008.
