LinguaTV Short-Listed for ELTons 2011 Award

Berlin (GER)/London (UK), January 2011 - The British Council has announced that LinguaTV is among the finalists for the ELTons 2011 International Award. Now in their ninth year, the awards, run by the British Council and sponsored by Cambridge ESOL, are a celebration of excellence in English-language teaching (ELT) from around the world.

The "Cambridge ESOL International Award for Innovation" rewards new, innovative, and useful products and services developed outside of the UK. It is offered to outstanding new language-learning products and services that use innovative ideas to help learners achieve their goals or to innovative research that has clear, practical benefits for English-language teaching.

It is one among three distinctions that are awarded yearly by the British Council. The members of the jury have nominated six finalists out of a large number of applicants. LinguaTV is the first German finalist of the ELTons for over three years.

The online video language course "Business English" offers the opportunity to prepare quickly and efficiently for English communication in day-to-day business situations. It covers the most important topics in areas such as marketing, distribution, personnel, purchasing, accounting, and finance. At the heart of the course are professionally produced videos, which show how the English language is implemented by native speakers in authentic business situations.
